Do Tumblr themes matter?

I ask because, while I’m more on the consumption side of the equation, I’d like to post more. I find my own Tumblr’s theme offensive, though. Like, wow.

But I almost always read my feed from the Tumblr dashboard, so I don’t see what *your* sites look like either.

Is it a matter of personal pride? I don’t have a lot of that right now, but it’s late on a Monday.
